In Enterprise the cover display associated with a title comes from Syndetics and is associated with the 020 tag (ISBN) or the 024 tag (UPC/EAN) on the bibliographic record. If the cover display is just an image of a gray book, the bibliographic record has no valid ISBN or UPC/EAN.
