Modified on Thu, 18 Feb 2021 at 01:33 PM

The properties for the Add Brief Title helper use the ONTHEFLY format. Here are the steps to create a report that will find your ONTHEFLY materials.

  • Select the Reports toolbar.
  • Click on the Schedule New Reports wizard.
  • Select the Bibliographic tab.
  • Double-click on the List Bibliography report.
  • Select the Title Selection tab.
  • Click the gadget next to the "Format" data well and select "ONTHEFLY". Make sure the radio box "Includes selected policies" is selected.
  • Select the Item Selection tab.
  • Your library should be selected in the "Library" field by default. Use the gadget next to the "Library" field to change or add other item libraries.
  • Click the gadget next to the "Item type" data well and select "ONTHEFLY". However, if your library is not consistent in selecting ONTHEFLY as an item type, leave this field blank.
  • Select the Sorting tab.
  • The default sort option is set "title/author". You can select "call number" or "author title" instead.
  • Select the Print Item tab.
    • The default output options for "Title Information" are "title, author" (100,245) bib data.
    • The default for "Item Information" is "All copy information", which includes the copy number, barcode, item library, price, and all item cataloging policies on the item's record.
  • Click "Schedule" to have the report run at a later date. Select "Run Now" to run the report immediately. Select "Save as Template" to save a copy of the report with your selections under your login. If you want to save the report as a template, be sure to change the name of the report in the "Report name" field under the Basics tab.
